I'm walking up Weardale towards Wearhead.
From Bishop Auckland weary footsteps tread.
The moors, wide skies 'n towns lift heart instead.
Lentic'lar cloud o'er North Pennines, stopped dead.

DFDS ferry from Royal Quay, North Shields
In thirty hours the ferry crossed the sea.
Newcastle sailed to Bergen, trouble-free.
At night the frost was on the grass, not me.

Bishop Auckland to Wearhead, and back to Wolsingham.
The walk up Weardale was a lot of fun.
I saw a bit more snow 'n hail than sun.
Fresh air, wide moors, all made me feel at one.
Sleep under snow's something I haven't done.

early morning outlook over Bergen harbour from Flø(oe)yen hill

Here is a troll woman with the registered trademark of my gear, near the top of Fløyen, the nearest mountain of Bergen.

A view from near the top of Fløyen "berg", across Bergen harbour and Bergen's mountains, which crowd round.

24Apr church on the loop round Bergen

There's lots to see in Bergen.
The ferry sailed Newcastle, Bergen town.
Sightseeing, harbour, churches up 'n down.
Now some days walking loop of "bergs" aroun'
I walked by this building in Ytre Arna on Thursday. It was put up in 1948 for the neighbourhood industry.

F25 RV580,Nesttun
The sun has gone and the rain has come back to Bergen. I took this picture while walking along the 10 km long cylcle/footpath from Nesttun to Bergen. The motorway is the E39, I believe.

The shot looks across Store Lungegårds Vann, towards Bergen Centre, on a rainy Sunday morning.

M28 Bergen
The Bergen mountains give us lots of rain.
The Norway rocks 'n cliffs have cloudy mane.
First week the weather high meant sun could reign.
Maria kirke shot South door, was gain.
